We arrived home last night, completely exhausted. I may write more about the trip later, but I do need to get some work done today. In the meantime, a few photos.
The family after finishing the Peter Pan ride — flying over London, love it!
An enthusiastic Mouseketeer (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and friends totally won a new fan in this one, who can’t wait to get Mickey cartoons on DVD):
A “Pirate Princess” — yes, those are the ears Violet chose. Observe the pierced mouse ear — don’t get any ideas, Violet.
One of Victoria’s most treasured dreams for our trip was meeting Cinderella, to whom she wrote several letters before we left. We managed to dine with Cinderella twice, and Victoria got a bit of special attention. (The Character Meals had to be the highlight of our trip for her.)
Both girls got a “magical transformation” at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique in Cinderella’s castle. You can see Victoria above, as “Fairy Tale Princess.” Violet chose “Disney Diva,” because of the hair extensions.
Our last day we ate at Chef Mickey’s, which totally revived Victoria’s flagging spirits. The girls considered Minnie and Mickey as royalty.
Our room at the Contemporary Resort had a spectacular view of Cinderella’s castle, which was great for the nightly fireworks. Victoria sat on the balcony the first night and declared it “the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen.” Violet had this spontaneous reaction upon seeing Cinderella’s castle up close (I swear I’m not making this up): “Imagine the size of the library!”
